My experience.

I enjoyed this task as it borden's my knowledge on the interesting are in my neighborhood, I also learn the whereabouts of the 3 interesting locations in my neighborhood. At first,I thought my neighborhood did not have much interesting places, but after doing this assessment, it has allowed me to change my perspective on my own neighborhood. The challenges were the fact that I had limited about of resources for one of the interesting locations, there was no much information and very little pictures. So i tried to look up more and edited some of the information. If I was given another opportunity to do this i would, try to take pictures of my own and would express one of the interesting places more. I would also like to find more places to explore their history and culture. I really enjoyed this task, now I think my neighborhood is not so boring after all.

A Travelogue for Tourists and Our Future Generations

Singapore a popular tourist destination, for all ages, whatever nationality. Among the Singapore, clementi is well known for having good universities, polytechnics and secondary schools. NUS is a prefect example to use.

Being a leading global university entered in Asia, NUS (National University of Singapore) as it has over 36,000 students from 100 countries enrich this special community with their knowledge. It is striving to excel globally with new initiatives in education, research and enterprise. It started as a small medical college but it has now ievolved to the global univrisity we know I proud that Singapore has a leading global university, when I grow up I wish to be there too.

If you’re the kind who is just here to relax or simple ‘chill’ , west coast park is the place for you, okay maybe not ‘chill’ cause its really hot in Singapore. “Play Centre in the West” is its theme, West Coast Park is a place for family bonding. There are plenty of activities there, barbequing, camping, cycling, kite flying and fishing. The list is just too long. I believe that the play centre is also a time for us to bond. But remember leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but photographs. Singapore believes to keep everyone clean and green for it to remain its nickname the garden city. West Coast Park was built on reclaimed land.  But Reclamation project was later undertaken by PSA Singapore in the 1980s for port development.  National Parks Board (NParks) then introduced a redevelopment project for West Coast Park in 1998 to meditate the problem. By 2000, Phase 1 development that covers the western portion of the park was completed. The park was revitalized with an improvement in infrastructure, along with the addition of facilities and features.

If you are the religious type, you can visit the Chee Ghee Deang Chiang Chin Meow Temple, (慈义堂将军庙) located near Bukit Timah Nature reserve. The directed translation of 慈义堂将军庙 means a temple for generals...

Although clementi is mostly about education, but it is still a interesting place to live in.
